Supporting Young People

The Adventure Sailing Trust (AST) supports the young people from areas of multiple deprivation within Scotland.  AST was founded in 1973 by a Glasgow businessman with a vision of supporting less fortunate youth by offering opportunities to improve their mental and physical health by way of outdoor activities.

Our website offers you the opportunity to find out how the AST has evolved over the years, our purpose and how to apply for funding to support your groups and clubs.

Our own fundraising, through appeals, grants and merchandise sales is the mainstay

for supporting young people’s lives through sport.  The focus of promoting physical and emotional wellbeing and creating positive opportunities for the young people, supports  a healthier life choice to grow and live their lives by.
